Fresh Air Performance Review for a Corporate Office

One-Line Summary:

FLO₂ helped a corporate office in Chennai assess fresh air performance across cabins, workstations, and meeting rooms, creating a practical roadmap for improving indoor comfort.

FLO₂ Role  Zone-wise CO₂ assessment and corrective-action roadmap
Occupant Benefit  Better basis for fresher, more comfortable, and more productive indoor spaces
Project Highlight:

A focused fresh air assessment that helped the client identify where workplace comfort could be improved through practical operational corrections. This project is a strong example of how IAQ assessment can support facility teams before larger interventions are considered. The office already had air-conditioning infrastructure in place. FLO₂ helped assess whether the occupied spaces were receiving the benefit of fresh air as intended, and where adjustments were needed. The result was a clear, zone-wise action plan for improving indoor freshness and comfort.

The Context:

Corporate offices typically include a mix of workstations, enclosed cabins, meeting rooms, and shared spaces. These areas do not behave the same way. Meeting rooms may experience short bursts of high occupancy. Cabins may remain closed for long periods. Workstations may have more stable but continuous use. Because of this, indoor freshness cannot be understood through a single reading or a general assumption. It needs to be checked zone by zone.

The FLO₂ Assessment:

FLO₂ carried out a structured CO₂ assessment across the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Readings were taken across representative spaces after stabilization, helping identify areas that were performing acceptably and areas that required attention. The assessment helped the facility team move from subjective concerns such as “this room feels heavy” to measurable, actionable insight.

What Changed:

The assessment highlighted that fresh air performance varied across the office.
Some spaces were operating within acceptable ranges, while certain enclosed and high-use areas required ventilation review. The findings helped the team identify where practical interventions would have the greatest benefit. The recommended next steps included fresh air system review, targeted upgrades for vulnerable enclosed rooms, occupant feedback after corrective action, and follow-up validation.

Impact Delivered:
Area  Result
Ventilation Visibility  CO₂ levels mapped across cabins, workstations, and meeting rooms
Workplace Comfort  Areas requiring fresh air review were clearly identified
Operational Insight  Helped distinguish system availability from actual fresh air performance
Corrective Roadmap  Practical next steps identified for facility action
Occupant Feedback  Comfort survey recommended after corrective measures
Validation  Follow-up IAQ audit recommended to confirm improvement
Project Outcome:

For Star Health Corporate Office, FLO₂ helped turn indoor air quality into a measurable and manageable facility parameter. The assessment gave the team a practical basis to improve freshness, comfort, and occupant experience without jumping directly to broad or unnecessary capital upgrades.
